This little piggy stayed home… all alone.

I am so upset!  I sponsor a pig named Tiffany at the Ironwood Pig Sanctuary.  She came into the sanctuary with with a tumor but it was removed and she healed nicely.  She is a white pig and so has problems with skin cancer during the hot Arizona summers.  Aside from all that, she is hanging in there, but that’s not why I’m upset.

This little pot-bellied pig is exactly like me.  She’s a bit shy around other pigs and so naturally does not make friends easily.   She spent most of her time alone until she met another pig named Roger.   She and Roger were spending all their time together snuggled under blankets or under a big cactus looking content and peaceful — I get quarterly updates and pictures of her.  Now for some reason, Roger has left her and has moved in with three other boys.  He completely ignores her and never goes over to the side of the field that they used to share.  And to top it off, none of the other pigs go over there either so she is all alone (that would be me).   My poor little girl is all alone and her skin cancer is already bad and they can’t do anything about it until the fall because it is too hot (she wouldn’t be allowed in the pool or mud wallows while she heals).

That Roger makes me so mad!  I hope she makes a new friend soon.  I hate to think of her all alone there.
